In 1963 Caterpillar introduced the company's first articulated Wheel- Loaders and Dozers. The 824 was also released as a compactor model variation. But in 1970 these variations would be assigned new model nomenclature and the Caterpillar 824B became the 825B.
The Caterpillar 825B was manufactured in the USA. The 825B has a D343 turbocharged, six-cylinder engine producing 300 flywheel horsepower (FWHP). It has a power shift transmission and electric start. It comes standard with articulated steering, four-wheel drive, and compactor wheels.
The 825B was given a 43N serial number prefix. Production ended in 1978; it was replaced by the Caterpillar 825C.
