The Caterpillar 825B Soil Compactor in 1:50th scale was released in 1972 by NZG with #135.

The Caterpillar 825B Soil Compactor scale model was already since the early years a part of my Earthmoving collection and was so unnoticed for more than thirty years in my possession. With the recent arrival of the Caterpillar 826C Landfill Compactor I had to create space in the display cabinet and only then I noticed that the NZG model of age fell apart and had never been complete. That's why I was very happy that I got the opportunity through a collector friend to obtain for a very decent price a mint boxed copy.

If you are in the possession of photos or additional background information like hardcopy brochures or specsheets about the 1:1 Caterpillar 825B Soil Compactor I would be happy if you send your response to info@minimovers.nl

Caterpillar 825B Soil Compactor

In 1963 Caterpillar introduced the company's first articulated Wheel- Loaders and Dozers. The 824 was also released as a compactor model variation. But in 1970 these variations would be assigned new model nomenclature and the Caterpillar 824B became the 825B.

The Caterpillar 825B Soil Compactor was manufactured in the USA. The 825B has a D343 turbocharged, six-cylinder engine producing 300 flywheel horsepower (FWHP). It has a power shift transmission and electric start. It comes standard with articulated steering, four-wheel drive, and compactor wheels.

The 825B was given a 43N serial number prefix. Production ended in 1978; it was replaced by the Caterpillar 825C.
