BAGE, or B(en)A(d)GE(gelijk/vers)), stood for Ben Gelijk and Ad Gevers, both Caterpillar scale model collectors and avid custom scale model builders. The material they both worked with was primarily brass. In the early 1980s, they began building kits and scale models together in 1:50th scale, utilizing each other's strengths. Sometimes they built just two pieces for their own Caterpillar collection, but small series were also produced.
After the collaboration ended, Ad Gevers continued making kits and models for his own collection on his own. The kits and models he now makes are sold worldwide under the name "ADs cAttachments."
Just knowing that is quite remarkable. That's why Ad has now created the Facebook group ADs cAttachments. Here, he shows what he's made over the years. So, first, the models made by BAGE up to around 1996. Each model or kit is presented with the original photos taken at that time and preserved. Ad can't take new photos himself because he's parted with part of the collection over the years.
To complete the BAGE overview, Ad is still looking for photos of BAGE models M9, M10, M13, and M14. So if you own one or more of the above-mentioned numbered models, please contact Ad throughout adscattachments@upcmail.nl so he can complete the archive unique series of BAGE scale models and share with us all wordwide.
