Digital Taxidermy is run by Theo from the UK and is a specialist in high-detail 3D Printed resin model kits, scalemodel vehicles and figures. Theo creates unique designs for collectors, modellers and wargamers who love British plant machinery, tanks, military vehicles, (Caterpillar) earthmoving and construction equipment and industrial machines.

I recently discovered some 3D-printed Caterpillar scale model kits on eBay that immediately caught my attention, as they are essential for any Caterpillar collection.

• Caterpillar 951C Track Loader

Although the Caterpillar 951C Track Loader certainly isn't one of the most detailed kits in the program, but because of the reasonable price, I thought it was definitely worth contacting Digital Taxidermy. After an initial positive contact with Theo, and after receiving photos of the actual printed scale model, and finally, because it's possible to have them printed in 1:50 scale, I decided, together with my friend and fellow Caterpillar collector Gertjan, to take the plunge and place an initial order for two Caterpillar 951C Tracked Loaders to see what would be delivered! #EXCITING
