When our Otter brothers discovered that Norscot at their Caterpillar 784C Tractor with TowHaul RGS-225 and Caterpillar 785D Dump Truck were "forgotten" to deliver both models with a replica engine was that the reason for them to develop from resin material a small series of the Caterpillar 3512C HD Engine.

The Caterpillar 3512C HD Engine was introduced in 2008 as the successor to the 3512B and is manufactured only in America. The 3512C HD-stroke engine with 12 cylinders is good for Net Power 1348 hp.

The Caterpillar 3512C HD Engine is ideal for use in machines that operate on steep slopes, poor terrain and on haul roads with high rolling resistance.

Standard built into the Caterpillar 785D Mining Truck and combined with the Caterpillar planetary powershift transmission provides the 3512C HD the following performances:
