770

The Caterpillar 770 Off-Highway Truck released in 2006 is one of the newest additions to the Caterpillar Off-Highway Trucks and designed specifically for for construction, quarry and mining applications in the 40-ton payload classes. The 770 uses the Caterpillar C15 ACERT engine producing net power of 476hp. This introduction enabled Caterpillar to discontinue the Caterpillar 769, which has served contractors and quarry operators since 1962.

Subsequently Caterpillar developed since 2013 the 770G as the latest member in the 770 series.

Of the 770 Series Off-Highway Trucks Diecast Masters has released the 770 in 1:50th scale. In 2023 his "twin brother" appears within the Diecast Masters "Weathered Series".  Fingers crossed they also will release the Caterpillar 770G.
