The Caterpillar Racetruck in 1:50th scale was released by Norscot in 2002 with #55089.

This scale model of the Caterpillar European Race Truck (The official name is Caterpillar TRD Super Truck) in 2002 in 1:50 scale by Norscot released with #55089 for the promotion of the Caterpillar Race Team that was already several years driving very successfully in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship.

With the Finnish driver Harry Luostarinen behind the steering wheel the Caterpillar Race Team won in 1997 and 2000 the championship for Super Race Trucks.

The Caterpillar TRD Supertruck has Caterpillar 12 litre C-12, 6 cylinder, 4 valve head, twin turbochargers and a EUI fuel system.

The Caterpillar C-12 Engine is specially prepared for racing by Chris Hodge's Truck Racing Development (TRD) team, but retains many standard production components.

  • Chassis: Multilink suspension with coil spring and gas shock absorber.

The Caterpillar TRD Supertruck has 1200hp Power Output which easly brings his (limited) top speed to 100mph and an Acceleration from standstill to 100 mph in 10.2 seconds.
