Features on the Caterpillar 953C Track Loader include individually linked free-rolling brass tracks, working track tensioners, a positionable bucket, a detailed operator's cab, a vented engine cover and a visible engine fan. Lights, grab handles and hydraulic lines add to the realism of the model.
Total production of the Caterpillar 953C Track Loader is limited by CCM to 300 individually serial numbered and registered models. 125 of the Caterpillar 953C model were made in a standard version, 125 with ripper, and 50 with Allied Power Products (APPI) winch.

The Caterpillar 953C Track Loader was introduced in 1995. It had a 3116 direct injection turbocharged, six-cylinder engine producing 121 flywheel horsepower. It comes standard with electronic hydrostatic control, a computerized monitoring system, separate variable displacement pumps and motors, sealed and lubricated tracks, an oscillating undercarriage, Z-bar linkage, and a 71-inch track gauge. New styling and hydraulic controls were added in 1998. The Caterpillar 953C production ended in 2005.
