Based on the Caterpillar 988 chassis the first Caterpillar 834 Wheel Dozer ,introduced in 1963, was a perfect complement to any earth moving fleet. Used by itself or in conjunction as a pusher for scrapers the Caterpillar 834 was versatile as well as reliable.

This Caterpillar 834 Wheel Dozer has been followed by the "B" (prefix 7BR, Manufactered from 1974-2000) and the Caterpillar "G" (prefix 6GZ Manufactered from 1998-2001 and prefix BPC Manufactered from 2002-2004) series.

Todays Caterpillar 834H Wheel Dozer, introduced in 2005 (prefix BTX) has 498Hp, coming from its Caterpillar C18 Acert engine. Weights 103,849 lb and has a 10.3 LCY capacity.
