Saturday, March 18th, 2017 the 26st Modelshow Europe was held in the flowerauction "Plantion" nearby the city Ede in the Netherlands.

On this special exhibition one could see all kinds of miniatures and model construction projects in the field of earthmoving, cranes and heavy transport. This Modelshow Europe exhibition is unique by its grand design and the only one in Europe.

Many collectors and builders showed on the Modelshow Europe their (rebuilt and/or radio controlled) models. Also a wide range of miniatures and related components for the modeller where offered for sale.

Among all the scale models there where some exciting new developments which will open a whole new world for the (Caterpillar) scale model collectors: 3D printed scale models!! This requires besides building skills also access to computer software knowledge and a 3D printer to realize these custom projects. Again: The change to become that single scale model you always wanted to have in your collection is now not longer impossible to be created. WOW!

We where lucky to meet and greet several European custom 3D model builders at our Booth. All the way from Northern Ireland came Nigel with a smart looking fully 3D printed and ready built and painted Caterpillar D5B LGP Dozer as well as an prototype from his upcoming project Caterpillar D8H Dozer both in resin material in 1:50th scale.
