I was pleasantly surprised when Tonkin Replicas end of 2014 announced that they where going to release a line of Nicolas scale models. And then really delighted with the fact that the first diecast model within their programm was the Nicolas Tractomas TR 8x8 Heavy Haulage prime mover.

If conventional road trucks are not powerful enough to carry out the transportation assignment, NICOLAS provides the solution with the Tractomas TR 8x8 Heavy Haulage prime mover.

Designed and built by NICOLAS since 35 years, the Tractomas has proved its efficiency all around the world under the toughest conditions (desert, Arctic, military, mining), breaking the world record in 2005, as the world largest semi-truck powered by Caterpillar with an entry in the Guinness World Records.

The Nicolas Tractomas TR 8x8 Heavy Haulage prime mover is manufactured by Tonkin Replicas in scale 1:50 and consists of almost 200 individual metal parts. The model comes in a luxury box together with a brochure that tells the story of this mighty machine.
