The Caterpillar 824C Wheel Dozer was introduced in 1979 and replaced the 824B version and was only produced in the USA. Power for this machine comes from the Caterpillar 3406 four-stroke-cycle diesel engine producing 270 hp. With a maximum bucket capacity of 5.25 yd3 delivering a payload of 15.400lb per pass.
