This weekend CCM has informed his dealers that two new scale models in their 1:48 Die-Cast series will be released:
Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the Caterpillar 235D, this 50-ton machine pushed the limits of production to a newer high, redefining what could be expected from an excavator of this size. Power for this machine comes from the Caterpillar 3306 ATAAC air-to-air aftercooled diesel engine producing 286 HP at the flywheel. The Caterpillar 350 realized between a 12-32% cost advantage over the Caterpillar 235D due to faster cycle times and better fuel efficiency, while increasing bucket capacity up to 16%.
The Caterpillar 350 L Hydraulic Excavator is configured with a Reach Boom (23'8") and R4.6F Stick (11'10") maximized the digging envelope and lift capacity, especially useful in general excavation or trenching.
The Caterpillar 350 L ME Hydraulic Excavator is equipped with a Mass Excavation Boom and M2.4G Stick for high-production excavation and loading applications, the 350L ME moves material faster and more efficiently by maximizing stick and bucket forces.
