I'm always looking for new (Poweredby) Caterpillar scale models to add to my collection. The Mack Defense Lakota 6x6 has also been on my wish list for a number of years because this truck is powered 1:1 by a Caterpillar C7 Acert Diesel engine. After years of searching, thanks to Ray from Canada, I came into possession of this rare version:
Olivier Saint Lot, the man behind Promodels / Quarter Kit, is a supplier of models to the Army industry and as private collectors we all benefit from these beautiful and also very detailed and realistic scale models released in the Master Fighter Series.
Master Fighter occasionally receives confidential orders in very limited series and this Mack Lakota for Mack Defense, the American subsidiary of RTD (Renault Trucks Defense) released in 2016 is a fine example of this.
The scale model is produced in a very small series in 1:48 scale under the reference MF 48554SC in a unique sand and brown color scheme. The Mack Lakota looks exactly like the VAB RTD from Master Fighter, except that this model carries the Mack emblem on the front spoiler and is packaged in a special box and showcase featuring the Mack Defense Lakota name and logos.
