The Caterpillar D5 LGP Dozer with VPAT Blade in 1:50th scale was released by Diecast Masters in 2022 with #85951 within the diecast "High Line Series". 

The new Caterpillar D5 LGP Dozer, also announced as the "Next Generation Design" or short “Next Gen” is the successor to the Caterpillar D6K2 Series in 1:1th scale. That sounds a bit awkward but because Caterpillar has changed his Dozer line from D1 up till D5 machine type numbering and stopped adding the successor letter it just will be released as the "D5" Series. 

My first impression: the Caterpillar D5 LGP Dozer with VPAT Blade has a detailed cab interior, including "Bob" the operator. On both sides there is even access to the engine compartment via an opening hatch and a functional three-tooth ripper is mounted at the rear. Authentic Cat Machine Yellow paint. In my opinion it is a missed change that Diecast Masters has given this model a non functional Caterpillar VPAT Blade. Certainly if you see that the D5 in 1:87th scale model has a functional one?! Truly a shame! Finishing touch are the sharp looking functional rolling metal tracks
