The Caterpillar CT680 On-Highway Truck was introduced in 2015. It was the third vocational truck offered by Caterpillar. The CT680 has a Caterpillar CT13 Engine producing 410-475 @1700 rpm.

Caterpillar unfortunately decided early 2016 announced that they would pull the plug out their complete Vocational Truck program. This also means that no other scale models of this truck or other truck series such as the Caterpillar CT681 Truck can be expected.

Of the CT680 On-Highway Truck series Tonkin Replicas has produced in 2016 the 1:50 scale die-cast model of the Caterpillar CT680 Tractor Day Cab in a small production run of two axles versions: 6x4 and 8x4 both in various colors.
