Caterpillar 587T Pipelayer

The Caterpillar 587T Pipelayer in 1:50th scale was in 2025 re-re-released in the "Core Classics Series" by Diecast Master.

When Diecast Masters acquired the Caterpillar scale model license rights from Norscot and Tonkin Replicas in 2015, a number of models from both manufacturers were included in Diecast Masters' new "High Line Series" program.

This also happened with the Caterpillar 587T Pipelayer, already released by Norscot in 2010 under number #55272. In addition to the luxury tin packaging from the Diecast Masters "High Line Series" with information about the 1:1 machine, the Caterpillar 587T Pipelayer was also modified on a number of points and re released under #85272. Of course Bob the operator came to sit in the cab, but more striking are the diagonal black stripes on the two counterweights that certainly give the model more appearance.

In 2025, to our great surprise, Diecast Masters re-released the Caterpillar 587T Pipelayer, this time in the "Core Classics Series." The only difference from the "High Line Series" model is the brown cardboard blister packaging in which the "Core Classics Series" is delivered. This means there are now three variations, and you still have the opportunity to add this Caterpillar 587T Pipelayer scalemodel to your collection -)
