Tonkin has announced their next to produce Caterpillar scale model in their 1:50 Construction Diecast Series:

Caterpillar 988K with Millyard Arrangement # TR10011

This Caterpillar 988K with Millyard Arrangement scale model will be produced at 1:50th scale and available early 2014. The Retail salesprice is US $124,95.This terrific model will feature an operating logging fork, additional counter weight, suspension and metal railing. Today Tonkin released the first official pre production models photos to share with the collectors.

50 years after the introduction of their first Caterpillar 988 Wheel Loader in 1963, Caterpillar in 2013 releases the "K", the seventh model in the 988 series.
