The Caterpillar 325C L Excavator in 1:50th scale was released by NZG in 2002 with #515.
The Caterpillar 325C L Excavator is just like the Caterpillar 325B scale model also produced by NZG.
This "C" series has a new body casting which is finely detailed with rounded counterweight and a new radiator cover on top of the upper body.
The cabin is the new style with more glazing than his predecessor and has a detailed interior with chair and controls for the Operator. The hydraulics have been improved and the Caterpillar 325C Excavator is finished with a new bucket with side cutters.
The Caterpillar 325C Excavator was introduced in 2001 and produced in Japan, USA, Belgium and China. The 325C was powered by a Caterpillar 3126B ATAAC Diesel engine good for 190.0 hp and an empty operating weight of 60.407 lb and a bucket capacity 3.0 yd3. The 325C was also available in a Material Handler version with a modified undercarriage, carbody and a new operator station.
The Caterpillar 325C Front Shovel model with Coal Shovel bucket is a variant especially for the English market.
The 325C (L, LN) were given a BKH, BKT, BKW or BMM (Japan); BFE or S2E (USA); CBR, CSJ, JLC or JLD (Belgium); AMH or BTD (China) serial number prefix. Production ended in 2006 when the 325C was replaced by the Caterpillar 325D.
