Midwestern M583C Pipelayer

The MIDWESTERN M583c Pipelayer in 1:48th scale is a custom made model.

For this custom project Ad Gevers used the parts of the Caterpillar 583K Pipelayer made by CCM in 1:48th scale. With only a few pictures and the original MIDWESTERN M583c Pipelayer specsheet as a reference, there was a unique scale model achieved.

Classic Construction Models (CCM) released the Caterpillar 583K Pipelayer in 2020. Unfortunately, this scale model turned out to be incompatible with the 1:1 scale model on a number of fundamental points and along the way Ad discovered more and more deviations and thus this hand-built MIDWESTERN M583c Pipelayer was created in which Ad could express himself down to the smallest details. #minimasterpiece

And finally the finishing touch with the designation "MIDWESTERN M583c PIPELAYER" neatly applied to the counterweight.
