Caterpillar D9D Dozer

The Caterpillar D9D Dozer is created in a Limited Edition in 2025 by FanKit Models in 1:48th scale. 

The "D" machine is the first D9 Dozer from the famous Caterpillar D9 Series. The D series was the first D9 released in 1955. This truly historic dozer in 1:1 scale is equipped with a Caterpillar D353TA, a six-cylinder, 6.25 x 8 inch displacement turbocharged diesel rated initially at 286 horsepower. First generation D9s have cable operated blades utilising either the No.30 (front mounted) single drum or No.25 (rear mounted), double drum cable controls. Hydraulically operated blades weren’t offered as an option until the arrival of the Caterpillar D9E in 1959.

This truly historic dozer is a 1:1 scale model equipped with a Caterpillar diesel engine, making it the first D9 Dozer in the renowned Caterpillar D9 Series. Therefore, this scale model of the Caterpillar D9D Dozer is a must-have for any die-hard (Caterpillar) Dozer collector.

The Caterpillar D9D is 1:50th scale and constructed of white metal and resin, and features several photo-etched parts to achieve meticulous detail. For example the realistic lighting. The same supplier that also supplies the paint for the Caterpillar E-G and H serie scale models was chosen for this "D" series color. The scale model shown here is a prototype and minor changes may still be made.
