The Caterpillar D9E Track-Type Tractor in 1:50th scale was custom made in 2013.

Thomas Wilk from TCC photowork was given the opportunity to take some pictures from this customized and hand build Caterpillar D9 Series E scraper puller with No 90 tow scraper made by an unknown custom builder.

The basic model is from the Caterpillar D9G made by Conrad in 1:50 scale with a lot modifications on the undercarriage and has a total re designed operator platform and many more details: A small masterpiece.

Caterpillar D9E Track-Type Tractor

The Caterpillar D9E Track-Type Tractor was introduced in 1959 as the replacement for the D9D and was only manufactured in the USA.

This machine has a Caterpillar D353 turbo charged, six-cylinder engine producing 335Hp flywheel horsepower (FWHP). It comes with a standard Gauge of 7'6" and the Operating Weight is 59,837 lb. The Caterpillar D9E Track-Type Tractor had a "34A" (PS Transmission), "50A" (TC Transmission) or "49A" (DD transmission) serial number prefix.

The Production of the D9E ended in 1961 when it was replaced by the Caterpillar D9G.
