This Caterpillar 330D FM Forestmachine is a "Under construction" Custom project from Urs Peyer.
I'm very glad Urs Peyer wanted to share his custom project on the CSM website. This is the background information he sended along with the first photos:
"The model is a Kiwi-Style forest machine with a feller head based on a Caterpillar 330D or 336D. Most forest machines in New Zealand are modified like that. For the custom Urs Peyer used a Norscot Caterpillar 330D, an Ertl John Deere forest machine and a Caterpillar D10T.
The feller head is from the JD model, stick is self made, boom is Caterpillar. Upper structure is a mix of John Deere and Caterpillar, engine is John Deere. The tracks come from the Caterpillar D10T, the track frames are Caterpillar, the rest of the undercarriage is John Deere.
