A.I.P.E.T.H.O.A.C. is de afkorting van Association Internationale pour la Promotion des Engins Techniques et Historiques comme Objets d'Art et de Culture. De Aipethoac is een vereniging waarvan het doel is om liefhebbers van Grondverzetmachines, mijnbouw, bosbouw, transport, etc., nieuwe en oud, alsmede schaal modellen elkaar te brengen.

Het was de gewoonte dat alle leden van de vereniging elk jaar een gratis resin kit kregen en in het jaar 1993-94 was dat de Caterpillar No 28 Ripper.

Caterpillar made cable-operated rippers that were towed behind Track-Type Tractors and were advertised as being able to penetrate to a maximum of 30 inches. The Caterpillar No 28 Ripper could be used with one or two Caterpillar D8 Track-Type Tractors.

The Caterpillar No 28 Ripper was built between 1947 and 1954 and weights 13,430 lbs.

Removable cover plates were provided in frame to permit filling with sand, which increased the operating weight approximately 2,200 lbs.
